The Host

Jackie Johnson is a former southern belle beauty queen turned LA vegan comedian, but she will never shake those roots, ho-ney. She loves all the makeup, playing The Sims, ranting on Snapchat, and chillin with her bestie (her dog)! She sings in a pop-punk cover band and refers to 1999 as "the best year that ever happened." She’s supposed to be a famous young starlet but it’s taking longer than expected cause she is a late bloomer and that’s okay!

Today we welcome podcast host and science correspondent Alie Ward to discuss her signature baby orangutan-hued hair, why beauty blenders are worth their price tag, and the balance of self care that we all face by doing what you want to do versus what you feel pressured to do by social media and pop culture. Everyone will learn something fun today! Visit for the episode guide to find links to everything we discussed, and check out Alie’s new podcast, Ologies!
