Matt discusses the breakthroughs of individualized medicine with Laura Shawver, the president and founder of ovarian cancer organization, Clearity Foundation. A bioscientist and ovarian cancer survivor herself, Laura specializes in cancer research. Through her own treatment experience, she realized that curing cancer is in treating the individual person, rather than the cancer type and that the methods used 40 years ago (same ones still used today) are simply not working. Though cancer is a serious topic, Laura and Matt engage in an entertaining, enjoyable and informative conversation.
